Siam from Chaingrai, ThailandI LOVE these colors! Good choice, And the black and white very good work to look. 28 Nov 2008 8:13am @Siam: Thank you Siam! @Vink: Thank you so much :) Ronnie 2¢ from London, United KingdomAdore the color version . . your processing has really lifted the image. 28 Nov 2008 9:55am @Ronnie 2¢: Thanks a million Ronnie! I'm glad you like it! :) mo.langel from Courtelary, SwitzerlandI love 2 versions! A golden sky and a silver sky! 28 Nov 2008 11:25am @mo.langel: Thank you so much! I'm glad you like the BW version too! John from Eureka, United StatesMy house is on a hill and I see wonderful sunsets. I have many sunset photos. You have a nice portfolio of images. Nice abstractions! 28 Nov 2008 1:43pm @John: How wonderful! I took this photo on a trip to Yazd, near Zoroastrians' Tower of Silence. @Denise: Thank you Denise :) Monique from Koh Samui, ThailandA great composition and lovely warm colors in the first image! I'm glad I don't have to choose between these two, because they both have their own great atmosphere. 28 Nov 2008 4:52pm @Monique: Thank you so much Monique for your comment! I really appreciate it :) @Paul: Thank you so much Paul :) @Eleftheria!: Thanks darling! Kathryn from Warburton, Australiai think putting them together inevitably makes us choose between them and i must say that i prefer the colour one as then the hillside (if that is indeed what it is!?!) is silhoetted! great capture Shirin! have a good day! 28 Nov 2008 7:36pm @Kathryn: I equally love them both! But you have every right to choose! :) Earnest from Oklahoma, United StatesYou were certainly right to post this both ways... both lovely. 28 Nov 2008 7:50pm @Earnest: Thank you Earnest! :) Paco Díaz from Palma de Mallorca, SpainI like both, although I frefer the golden shades of the first, more poetic, like your words. 28 Nov 2008 7:52pm @Paco Díaz: I really appreciate your visit and comment :) Howard F. from South Pasadena, Calif., United StatesFunny how the same shot can convey two different feelings with different processes. Nice work and color. 28 Nov 2008 8:20pm @Howard F.: Thanks Howard! You are absolutely right! Same shot, worlds apart... Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, CanadaI like the composition and both versions but prefer the b+w. 28 Nov 2008 8:21pm @Michael Rawluk: Thank you so much Michael! Zorilla from H, T & E, United KingdomIs this the same image before and after Photoshop? Personally I like the boldness of the first image better. 28 Nov 2008 10:06pm @Zorilla: The color (original) and the BW version of the same photo. Alaukika from Pune, IndiaI think I like the black and white shot more. With the silhouette of the hill on the background of cloudy sky... looks like the a scene from a fantasy movie from the forties. 29 Nov 2008 4:15am @Alaukika: This is kind of you to say Alaukika! :) @dominik: Thanks Dominik! @Laurie: Thank you Laurie :) @rem_la: Thanks for the comment! k@ from Paris, FranceI we allowed to jump from the first to the second, I... jump ! Love the slope and the way it shares the pic in two, eart/sky, and the light of it. Thanx for the ride ;-) 30 Nov 2008 9:55am k@ from Paris, FranceOops, I taped (and jumped :) too quickly, sorry and thanks to read : "If we allowed to jump from the first to the second, I... jump ! Love the slope and the way it shares the pic in two, earth/sky, and the light of it. Thanx for the ride ;-)" See ya 30 Nov 2008 9:57am @k@: Of course you are allowed! Take my hand too! @Veronelle: It's on you! :) Thanks for the comment :) Suzanne from Huntington Bch, United StatesLike you, I have trouble deciding whether I like something in BW or color. Using digital only make the choices great and decisions hard. This scene looks terrific either way. 30 Nov 2008 6:38pm @Suzanne: Thank you Suzanne! I really appreciate your comment :) willow from Chelsea, United StatesBeautiful clouds in both versions. I like the two together. 1 Dec 2008 3:09am @willow: Thank you so much :) @rain girl: Thnaks :) @Marhilde: Thank you Marhilde :) djedfre from schaumburg, United Statesi really like the 'ghosting' of the edge of the mountain... great clouds! 5 Dec 2008 10:41am @djedfre: Glad you like the effect :) San G. from Encino, California, United StatesI see this as a statement of mood or how mood informs perspective. On one day something seems and feels a certain way ... another day which offers the same opportunities is perceived in an entirely different way ... and therefore it LOOKS different. Thanks for providing this opportunity. I appreciate that you offered the links to Tower of Silence. It's interesting that you mention about Zoroastrianism right now ... because I just issued an Am3 (INTER-FAITH) HOLIDAY CHALLENGE: Photograph something archetypal in your world that shows your Holiday season as it is celebrated (Solstice, Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or ???). Post it on January 1st, 2009! I don't know what religious celebrations are focused on in Tehran at this time of the year, but, I'd love for you to post a photo of yours on New Year's Day. 6 Dec 2008 7:49am @San G.: Well, this world isn't waiting, The moment is passing you by! @missparis: I like both of them! But you have every right to choose! @faelle: Thnaks :) Gary from Cochise County, United StatesThey are both wonderful on their own but even a greater contrast together. Very nice. 11 Dec 2008 10:56pm @Gary: Thanks Gary! Glad you liked both of them :) Claus Petersen from herfølge, DenmarkA beautiful silhouette, and great contrasts! 9 Feb 2009 9:43pm @Claus Petersen: Thank you so much! :) |
