EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomA rather interesting and striking image. Elaine- from Canadabeautiful abstract, seemingly without form, but there is a framing.... i dig it!! 16 Jan 2009 10:57am @Elaine-: Thank you so much Elaine! :) Ram from Bangalore, IndiaWow!!! What an abstract. I really did take some time to understand the composition. The green and the florescent colors give life to this abstract, and of-course the sunlight from outside the window :) . I really like the way you look @ things and especially the words you add in to explain more about the composition. Some captures do not need any explanation but some really need one......I really enjoy browsing your page... Keep up the good work. 16 Jan 2009 2:00pm @Ram: Thanks Ram! I just try to look at things like I've never seen them before- not that I'm always successful. Actually as there's nothing new under the sun, it might be only new for me and not for all the people. There are a lot of experienced photographers here, and they have absolutely seen more. Well, I go with whatever feels right. I might find it in an odd angle, odd BWs, odd colors, or even in the simplest compositions. But these are my choices and I'm glad that people in AM3 respect each others' choices and don't impose their will on others. That's the way it should be. Not only in photography, but in the whole life and world. Actually that was the reason why I ran away from a local photography community. I just posted a few pics there and just couldn't tolerate the whole atmosphere. I never learned anything there. But here, in this friendly community, I AM learning. Not through the mere compliments, and absolutely not through the critics, which is rare here in the comments, but through the enthusiasm this community and all the wonderful people here has brought me. And believe me, this is rare. I'm more enthusiastic, not about life in general but, about photography. And I think that's a good thing to cling on and ,as my beloved uncle always tells me, to help maintain my status of sanity. I'm happy that you like my photos! Shuva Brata Deb from Hyderabad, IndiaHopefully you are referring to your home window and not your car window :-) 16 Jan 2009 5:22pm @Shuva Brata Deb: That's right!
