Here is my 2nd shot for Damon's Street Photography Challenge.

Three souls, tons of newspapers!
This is a simple, clear-cut street shot! No selective colors this time!
To be honest I must say that I had prepared some other selective color shots for this challenge!! Well, I'll reserve them for further use! :D
I was standing right beside him and he didn't even look at me as I clicked the shutter!
Let's rock the streets of the world! Count me in!

Well, he was still standing there when I left and I didn't see him buy any newspaper! But I'm pretty sure that he had bought his newpaper from another newsstand!

I used to read newspapers like crazy, but it's quite a long time that I'v given up on that. I just scan the headlines. And I think it's much better this way. I won't lose anything!

I love that you're sharing your process. You are a brave one. I'm much more shy to shoot this close. Sometimes I think there's a way to change the shutter so it doesn't make a sound, in which case I'd just click (or "not click") away. But I guess I'm worried how someone might react. I'm pretty good at holding and shooting without LOOKING like I'm taking a shot, and I can pull it off sometimes, but this challenge is really a CHALLENGE to me. You're doing great Shirin!

Yes, me too! sometimes I really want the shutter to be silent like a point and shoot camera because you'll never know how people would react. It might be a punch in the face! ;D

That's 100% true. But I'm afraid it's a misleaded curiosity. I've given up on newspapers. To be honest, I sometimes scan the headlines.

Actually I didn't see him buying any from this newssantd and I'm pretty sure that he had bought his newspaper from somewhere else!
Newspapers are the same in every newsstand, I'm wondering if he stops and reads at every newsstand just to find it's all the same!

Actually it's normal here to stand and read the headlines without buying any. But this guy was drowned in news and that's odd!

I wish we have news stands here, it's a lot of fun just browsing to see what they sell...Only downtown big cities where there are a lot of foot traffic have news stands... :-(

@Ti: Well Tehran is a highly populated city and there are thousands of newsstands here. But also it's highly polluted. But I like it anyway!
